I wish I could strap Glenn Beck in a chair and play this song over and over. How long before his head explodes do ya think?

All You Fascists are Bound to Lose

with 2 comments

I don’t agree with everything I read at Daily Kos (because opinions there vary widely) , but here is a diary I can get behind.

It is a plea to the President to be more like FDR and oppose the rising corporatist fascism that currently dominates U.S. politics.

Please, Obama, do not yield to the “grave dangers of the rightist reaction” and “the spirit of fascism here at home”. We need you to be another F.D.R., President Obama.
Yes, “we are the ones we have been waiting for.”, but we need YOU, President Obama, to lead. America can NOT wait, we can NOT be pragmatic, we can NOT “look forward”. We need a New New Deal and we need it NOW.

Because Corporatism is fascism, and that is what we are up against.

Well, fascism is corporatism, but it comes with hate, division, violence and eliminationist rhetoric. The sort of stuff Glenn Beck delivers 5 days a week (heavily subsidized by Murdoch and News Corp of course).

Back in the good ole days of the first Great Depression, we Had Woody Guthrie to inspire opponents of fascism and working folk in general. Here he is with a little ditty called All You Fascists are Bound to Lose:

Here’s an updated version with Billy Bragg and Wilco:

Oh and Ani Difranco called and wants to know which side you’re on.
