I, Larry Jones, am the founder, editor and main contributor of slothropia. I mostly blog about politics, both U.S. and Canadian, from a progressive perspective. Currently located in Central Illinois, and local issues get discussed here from time to time.
Visitors may also encounter posts about music, film, fiction and non-fiction writing and any other thing about which I am moved to express myself.
I am not above posting Youtube videos of my favorite musicians or other types of performers or whatever is so silly as to be deemed noteworthy.
The name of the blog is a reference to a character in a novel.

Just found your blog, and knowing there is another progressive in Central Illinois is always a great thing.

Thanks for the very kind words.
There are a few other progressive blogs in CI, a couple of which are on my blogroll, Does it play near Peoria? and Emerge Peoria. I am sure there are others I don’t know about. If you find any, let me know.
